My advice when dealing with characters in perspective: Draw the circle for the head first (complete with crosshairs for the facial features) and make sure it is the biggest basic shape within the sketch (if the head is closest to the viewer) before moving on to draw the shapes for the chest, hips, and so on. It helps to picture the character inside a box; here's a good example of that: [link]
